(The deluxe hardcover includes extra stories and artwork.) The CRYPTOZOOLOGY ANTHOLOGY is the first ever collection of classic stories from vintage men’s adventure magazine about Bigfoot, Sasquatch, the Abominable Snowman (a.k.a. the Yeti), the Loch Ness Monster, the giant Thunderbird and other legendary creatures from the realm of cryptozoology – the study of animals whose existence is scientifically unproven or in dispute. The book is 300 pages long and is lushly illustrated with full color scans of the original magazine covers, interior illustrations and photographs used for the stories when they were first published in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Introductory text that puts the stories in their historical and cryptozoological context was written by cryptid and cult film expert David Coleman, author of THE BIGFOOT FILMOGRAPHY, ANCIENT LAKE and THE BIPOLAR EXPRESS. Among the featured stories are authorized reprints of rarely-seen stories by Arthur C. Clarke (2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY) and John Keel (THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES).
